Short answer
If you were an Indian citizen and became a Canadian citizen, you surrender your Indian passport and get a surrender certificate. You usually need it before applying for an OCI card or an Indian visa. The government fee is $59, and a penalty applies if you travelled on your Indian passport after becoming Canadian. The application can be sent by post, so we courier it for you.
Government fee

| Penalty (if you used your Indian passport after Canadian citizenship) | Set by the government; it cannot be waived or reduced |
Government fees are paid to the Government of India at cost. The official application centre adds a service charge of $1.70 per application, and return courier is extra.
